
Garret Fry: Garret started studying and playing music in the 5th grade. Playing the Tuba he made Allcity his first year and Allstate the next. He started playing bass a year afterwards and began receiving weekly and bi-weekly lessons from guitar and bass virtuoso, Lytle Rieffer. Playing with a plethora of musicians and various bands has transformed Garret into a very versatile bassist, and a highly experienced musician. Garret has also studied many bassist including Mark King, Stanley Clark, Les Claypool, Charles Mingus, Victor Wooten and Billy Shean just to name a few. Garret was once quoted the best musician is a versatile one. This is why he spends several weeks on techniques seldom heard on bass tracks I.E. artificial harmonics, sweeping, tremolo picking and many others. In his free time Garret enjoys working with people on new instruments and styles to further broaden his musicality. He also enjoys jamming on guitar and has even been known to lay down some heavy beats on the drums. |
Josh Martin: Josh has been playing for the last 12 years , and enjoys passing what he has learned on to others. Josh specializes in rock, alternative and blues, but is also familiar with and willing to teach many other styles of music. He has a very fun personality and often will play guitar with his drum students, or drums with his guitar students which has been very popular. He is very flexable and will help the student develop their own personal style. In a recent survey, 3 out of 4 people said they would drop a quarter if he was playing on a street corner, and he is endorsed by his mom. He is Available on Saturday and charges $65 per month. |
